I use the amex to get the companion voucher. Also the avois points are useful, especially when combined with the balance boost option. This is where you can boost your avios points based on the last 3 months earnings by paying some money.

Amex has multiple solid options for cards and welcome bonuses to fit different spending styles. Rewards are great because even with a no-fee card, you can use those points on travel providers. They also have transfer bonuses to travel partners at times as well. Additionally, it’s nice to be able to choose your own card, even if you’ve been referred to a different one.
