Your friend should have provided a referral link or code via email, text message, or social media. Once you click the link and make a qualifying payment, you'll receive $10.00 in your Venmo account. That payment needs to meet three simple criteria: It must be at least $5 It must be funded by a bank account or card It must be made to another user within 14 days of the referral link creation Note, if you don’t already have a Venmo account, you’ll need to create one after you click the link. If you signed up without clicking the Referral click, just be sure to tap on the link before making a qualifying payment.
