At the end of the day, I do not watch a lot of television. However, when I do, I want it to be dependable, accessible, and with a consistent impact to my monthly budget. Every option I have turned to has pros/cons. What I love about Dish is that it is now in the same price range of streaming competitors, yet provides a much better product. The Hopper allows one to dependably record shows that one watches. What is most helpful is the fact that I can trust that my bill will be consistent.
I believe Dish is going to survive the cord-cutting phenomenon, as streaming products are not as expensive, yet provide less quality. Dish offers streaming with their online application (for streaming devices), while the wired Hopper provides the quality we have always expected when watching television.
