ShopBack will reward you with a bonus for every qualified referral that:
(1) Signs up using either: your unique referral link or unique referral code or unique email address.
(2) Makes their first purchase of $20 or more through ShopBack.
(3) Has the Cashback status of their first purchase move from 'Pending' to ‘Confirmed’.
(4) Has added their withdrawal method of choice (bank account / PayPal).
A "qualified referral” refers to the status of your referral after completion of the listed criteria.
It is only upon completion of all listed criteria that a referral will be considered "qualified".
Additional information for each point above:
1.1) Your referred friend must sign up via a unique device (mobile/desktop/tablet) to prevent having their referral bonus forfeited.
1.2) Any accounts sharing the same device (mobile/desktop/tablet) at any point throughout the referral process will have their referral bonus forfeited.
1.3) Your referred friend must sign up via your link and not another referral link. The last referral link clicked by your friend will be attributed the sign up bonus.
2.1) Your referred friend's first purchase must not be stacked with other new customer promotions (Eg. Free $10 gift card promotion for new customers).
2.2) Any order that does not earn Cashback, or is cancelled, exchanged, or refunded, will not count towards the minimum spend.
2.3) The $20 minimum spend can be met in either a single or multiple transactions.
3.1) The timeframe of Cashback turning ‘Confirmed’ is dependent on the store of choice.
3.2) If the Cashback on your friends' first purchase is ‘Rejected’, they may place another order to be eligible for the bonus, granted that the order is ‘Confirmed’.
4.1) Accounts that share the same withdrawal method will be flagged as fraudulent and forfeit the right to a bonus unless our support team is notified prior to the referral.
The status of your referral bonus will appear as ‘Pending’ in both accounts once your referred friend signs up.
The status of your referral bonus will move to ‘Confirmed’ once your referred friend meets all the criteria highlighted above.
The status of your referral bonus may take up to 48 hours to update from 'Pending' to ‘Confirmed’ once all criteria are met.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of activities that are not permitted and that will disqualify you from earning referral bonuses:
(i) self-referral,
(ii) posting your referral link on any ShopBack merchant's Facebook or forum page,
(iii) disguising your referral link as a generic link and populating it within web pages,
(iv) keyword bidding for the purpose of generating traffic to pages containing your referral link, and
(v) any similar activity determined by ShopBack in its sole discretion to be inconsistent with the purpose of ShopBack's Refer-a-friend programme.
ShopBack reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to amend and vary the terms and conditions of this program as set out above, as well as to disqualify any users at any point in time.
By participating in this Refer-a-friend programme, you consent to ShopBack's collection, use and disclosure of your personal data for the purposes of administering this programme, as well as to the terms of ShopBack's Privacy Policy.
Any infringement of the above terms and conditions would result in the loss of all bonuses. Repeat offences would result in the closure of your ShopBack account.
